Soviet Problem had 2 foals in 2001, one on her own by Free House, and this one, a colt carried by a surrogate dam. He is by champion Quarter Horse, First Down Dash and now owned by a partnership of Harris, Valpredo, and Vessels. Foaled on April 17th this chestnut colt is out of champion Soviet Problem, and was bred by Harris Farms, Vessels and Don Valpredo. The developing embryo was recovered from Soviet Problem by the team at Vessels Stallion Farm, headed by breeding manger Kevin Dixon. The embryo was flown to Colorado and implanted in a recipient mare, which carried the pregnancy to term. The resulting chestnut colt foaled at Vessels Stallion Farm. The foal will be raised at Vessels and pointed to a 2002 venue. |
