Harris Farms stallions and Harris Farms connected horses victorious at Gold Rush VIII at Hollywood Park on Sunday April 29, 2007

  The $200,000 Melair Stakes was taken by Tiz Elemental and she is by Cee’s Tizzy, out of the Great Commotion mare Blending Element She was bred by Williamson Racing and is owned by Warren Williamson. She is trained by Carla Gaines and ridden by Victor Espinoza. Tiz Elemental has three wins in five starts, earnings of $237,680 and was coming off a win in an optional claimer. She ran the 1 1/16 miles in 1:45.51 and won by 1 ½ lengths. Tiz Elemental was foaled, raised and trained at Harris Farms.

Silver Z took the Warrens Thoroughbreds Stakes at 7 furlongs for fillies and mares. Silver Z is by Cee’s Tizzy, out of the Dynaformer mare Zoelu, was bred by Harris Farms and is owned by CW Racing and Turf Express. She is trained by Brian Koriner, ridden by Joseph Talamo and she ran the seven furlongs in 1:24.63. Silver Z has two wins in six starts and earnings of $100,720. She is a half-sister to stakes winner Now Victory and a full sister to Harris Farms homebred C. T. Zee, who ran a very game close second in the Snow Chief Stakes.

Winning the $150,000 Fran’s Valentine Stakes for California-bred fillies and mares at 1 1/16 miles on the Hollywood Park turf course was Harris Farms foaled, raised and trained Nashoba’s Key. She is by Silver Hawk, out of the Caerleon mare Nashoba, was bred by Williamson Racing and is owned by Warren Williamson. She has won all three of her starts and has earnings of $151,800. She was ridden by Garrett Gomez  and is trained by Carla Gaines.

Grade I winner Greg’s Gold (raised at Harris Farms)  took the $150,000 Tiznow Stakes (named for the leading money winning Cal-bred raised at Harris Farms) at 7 ½ furlongs. Greg's Gold, foaled and raised at Harris Farms, is by Lake George (former Harris Farms based stallion), out of the Fit to Fight mare Lake Windermere and was bred by owner Bill Boswell. He has six wins in 16 starts, earnings of $530,068 and was coming off a second to Smokey Stover in the Apr. 7 Potrero Grande Handicap. He’s the Rage, who finished second, is by Soft Gold, out of the Hansel mare Interaction, was bred by Southern Nevada Racing Stable and is owned by Belmonte or Bongo Racing Stable or Cohen.

Finishing second in the $150,000 TVG Khaled Stakes at 9 furlongs on the turf, was Running Free. He is by Soft Gold, out of the Mukaddamah mare Baby Grand and was bred by owner Southern Nevada Racing Stable.
