Enriched a Mile Richer

DEL MAR, Calif. (Aug. 28, 2010) – Enriched, champion Lava Man’s younger half-brother, led all the way to post a game win in Saturday’s $190,000 Grade II Del Mar Mile "Win and You're In Mile Division".

Enriched is by High Brite, out of the Nostalgia’s Star mare Li’l Ms. Leonard, was bred by Carole Lingenfelter, is owned by W.C. Racing, Westside Rentals.com and Neil Haynes and trained by Doug O’Neill.

The half-brother to Lava Man has seven wins in 21 starts, earnings of $494,656 and was coming off a third in the July 31 San Diego Handicap.

Enriched ran the mile on turf in 1:34.83 and won by three-quarters of a length as the lukewarm 2-21 favorite.

The five-year-old gelding is not Breeders' Cup eligible and will have to be supplemented to the Mile.
