Moscow Burning Brings $1 Million

LEXINGTON, Ky. (Nov. 6, 2006) – Moscow Burning, the all-time leading earner among California-bred females, was purchased Monday at the Keeneland November Breeding Stock Sale for $1 million by Shadai Farm.

Moscow Burning is by Moscow Ballet, out of the Mr. Leader mare Burning Desire, was bred by Harris Farms and Ken Maddy Trust and was owned by Don Van Racing. The Grade II winner has 11 wins in 33 starts and earnings of $1,417,800. She bowed out by finishing fourth in the Oct. 28 California Cup Distance.
