Dancing Edie Ready for Filly & Mare Turf

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (Nov. 1, 2006) – Grade I winning California-bred Dancing Edie takes on the class of her division Saturday in the $2 million Emirates Airline Breeders’ Cup Filly & Mare Turf at 1 3/8 miles on the Churchill Downs turf course.

Dancing Edie is by Moscow Ballet, out of the Slewpy mare Duchess of Ack, was bred by Fast Lane Farms & Donald Reiker and is owned by Julian Basin, Fast Lane Farms and Paul Reddam. She drew the rail in the 10-horse field that includes British start Ouija Board.

She has three wins in 15 starts, $613,580 in earnings and is coming off a second in the Grade I Yellow Ribbon, one of her five second-place finishes, two in Grade I races. She has 8-of-9 in-the-money finishes on the turf.
