John Scott Shoots for Norfolk

ARCADIA, Calif. (Oct. 1, 2009) -- Unbeaten California-bred John Scott will pass up the California Cup Juvenile to run in Sunday’s $300,000 Grade I Norfolk Stakes for 2-year-olds at Oak Tree at Santa Anita.

John Scott is by Bertrando, out of the Deputy Minister mare Henlopen, was bred by owners Harris Farms and Scott Gross, was foaled at Harris Farms and is trained by Carla Gaines.

He won both of his starter, most recently the Sept. 7 I’m Smokin Stakes, and has earnings of $90,600.
