Now Victory Takes the Grade III Bay Meadows Hcp.

Now Victory, (Sharp Victor out of Zoelu, by Dynaformer) off at odds of 31-1, ran away from the field at the start for jockey Frank Alvarado and never looked back, winning the $140,000 Bay Meadows Breeders' Cup Handicap (gr. IIIT) on the turf Sept. 22.

Trained by Dean Pederson, Now Victory is owned by John Harris, who bred him, and the Harris Farms' horse trainer, Per Antonsen. The 6-year-old Now Victory earned his first graded stakes victory. This was his seventh lifetime win in 23 starts was worth $90,000 and increased his bankroll to $352,046.

Now Victory won in 1:47 on a course rated good. The winning margin was two lengths.
