The fine looking foal was born within days of its sire, and Triple Crown Winner Seattle Slew's 20th anniversary of winning the Kentucky Derby. The mare's record speaks for itself. She was the 1994 California Bred Horse of the Year. Soviet Problem ( see painting) by Moscow Ballet, brings a race record of 14 wins in 19 starts and earnings of $950,000 including a near miss in the Breeders Cup. Owned and bred by Harris Farms and Don Valpredo., the Mare and foal are currently at Ron Kirk's Woods Edge Farm in Lexington, Ky. Soviet Problem is being bred back to Arazi and may return to California later this year.
